The Local Better Regulation Office (LBRO) is a new organisation supporting businesses and it has released a new publication, Better Local Regulation: Supporting Business towards Recovery setting out how local authority regulatory services can support and advise business as we come out of recession.
Invitation to Tender documentation has been issued for the procurement of office supplies by the government. The closing date for the receipt of tenders is Monday, 13th April 2009.
The BPIF's 2008 Finance and Investment Conference - its third to date - be held on 18 September 2008 at The Brewery, London EC1. The BOSS AGM and Resellers & Manufacturer's forum is to be held on the 4th September at the High Wycome (Buckinghamshire) office.
This year's theme for the forum will be based on the "credit crunch" and include presentations from GfK, VIP and an environment specialist on current trends and ways to save money.

Members of the Rubber Stamp Manufacturers Guild (RSMG) have been supporting the Metropolitan Police's Operation Maxim by supplying the Police with details of suspicious orders being placed for rubber stamps that can be used to make false identification and other official documentation. There have been several successful prosecutions as a result.
